1 Governing Law

NFS-Share is developed and operated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. All operations, data processing, and contractual relationships are subject to Rwandan jurisdiction.

Applicable legislation includes but is not limited to:

2 Regulatory Compliance

NFS-Share is designed to assist Rwandan notaries in meeting their statutory recordkeeping and reporting obligations. The platform does not replace the legal judgment or official capacity of a licensed notary.

All notaries using this platform remain individually responsible for ensuring that documents and transactions processed through NFS-Share comply with applicable law.

The platform interfaces with or is compatible with requirements from:

3 Notarial Authority & Jurisdiction

NFS-Share operates on a per-office basis. Each office account represents a single notarial practice or notary chamber. Users within an office act under the authority and supervision of the notary to whom the office is registered.

Offices are scoped by the supervising notary's jurisdiction as granted by the Rwandan Bar Association. Cross-office data access is restricted and audited.

4 Data Sovereignty

All data entered into NFS-Share, including client information, document metadata, and transaction records, is stored on servers located within or under the control of operators based in Rwanda.

Data is not transferred to third-party processors outside Rwanda without explicit written consent from the subscribing office and compliance with applicable data protection law.

5 Document Authenticity & Legal Validity

Documents generated or stored through NFS-Share carry a QR code and digital reference number. These identifiers are intended to assist with verification but do not, on their own, confer legal authenticity.

Legal validity of notarised documents is established by the signature and seal of a licensed notary in accordance with Rwandan law. NFS-Share's digital records serve as a corroborating audit trail.

6 Liability & Disclaimers

NFS-Share provides software tools and is not a legal services provider. The platform operator:

The platform operator's maximum aggregate liability to any subscriber shall not exceed the fees paid by that subscriber in the preceding twelve months.

7 Amendments

This Legal Framework may be updated to reflect changes in Rwandan law or regulatory requirements. Subscribers will be notified of material changes with at least 14 days' notice via email or in-platform notification.

Continued use of NFS-Share after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated framework.
